The 5-Bar System is a patented biomechanical support system designed to activate the human foot’s natural structure.

Rather than simply cushioning impact, the insole works by supporting the foot’s architecture and guiding movement through its natural mechanical pattern.

The human body is a fantastic structure designed to function and last a lifetime. Often, it’s not until something breaks or causes pain that we truly appreciate what the body does for us. Simple tasks like lifting a coffee cup or going to the bathroom involve a series of efforts we rarely reflect on—they just happen. For instance, you use nearly 650 muscles and 300 joints daily as you move, year in and year out. It’s no wonder some parts of this complex system wear out, especially as time takes its toll. Muscles and joints work tirelessly behind the scenes. The human foot alone contains 66 joints, about 250 ligaments, and 38 different muscles. All of these are connected to the lower legs.

The joints make the body flexible

Taking care of your joints and muscles throughout your life is crucial. Joints and muscles work together to enable movement, and maintaining them ensures they can continue functioning for as long as possible without becoming fatigued. Joints are located where two or more bones meet and allow those bones to move. Without joints, we wouldn’t be able to bend or stretch our bodies. Joints are movable connections between bones; their surfaces are covered with tough articular cartilage. This cartilage is made of supportive tissue, allowing the surfaces to slide smoothly against each other, reducing the risk of wear and tear.

The muscles give strength

We have different types of muscles, but they all have the ability to contract, stretch, tense, or relax. Skeletal muscles are attached to the skeleton and are muscles we can control. Each skeletal muscle is connected to two tendons on either side of a joint, allowing the joint to move when the muscle tenses and relaxes. The skeleton, muscles, and joints work together to enable movement. This collaboration between muscles and joints is essential for keeping your body active and gaining strength.

Patented technology

We have chosen to call our second international patent the ‘5-Bar System’ because of the five structural elements at the core of the 5-Bar insoles. The first three horizontal bars are designed to support the foot’s three arches. They help the foot move and absorb shock naturally while aiming to reduce the risk of the feet ending up in extreme positions that could lead to injury. The other two vertical bars are designed to provide stability. They help align the feet, knees, and hips, promoting even pressure distribution from the feet up to the back. This helps maintain a neutral body position when standing or taking a step, achieving a balance between effort and rest.

Our 5-Bar insole, like our 3-step insoles, is developed using data from millions of 3D-scanned feet worldwide. The insole features five distinct layers, each with unique qualities and functions:

The upper

We have chosen a perforated material that breathes and wicks moisture away from the foot’s 250,000 sweat glands. The material also helps reduce the risk of friction-related issues, such as blisters.

The memory foam

We chose Medical Poron with a specific density. The material reacts to pressure and conforms to the shape of the foot. Its reaction time is three seconds, allowing it to return to its original shape while the foot is in the air.

The shock-absorbing layer

We have chosen Medical Poron, a material frequently used in the space industry. It is known for its excellent shock-absorbing properties, ideal for those who value movement.

The five bars

The core of the insole is designed to provide stability and ensure that the feet and body land in the correct neutral position. The bars support all three arches during standing or movement. They promote healthy foot function, and with regular use of the 5-Bar insoles, you can help strengthen the muscles in your feet.
